Eleven years ago today, I married my husband.
That day still remains one of the best days of my life.
We’ve been through a lot in the past 11 years – both good and bad.
We got SO lucky and brought this kiddo into our life.
(OMG, so little!)
My husband? Is one of the best fathers I know.
He’s kind and patient.
He makes Owen laugh (even now, when Owen’s mad and doesn’t want to! That is a gift.)
He’s silly and fun.
He’s smart and is always sparking Owen’s curiosity, encouraging him to learn.
We’ve had some adventures, the three of us, over the years.
We’ve visited realllllllllllly pretty places (which we need to return to! Soon!) on big boats with family.
We travel to places like New York and North Carolina and Texas, not just because we love traveling, but because family is so important to us.
My husband? Is also one of the best husbands I know.
He’s unfailingly supportive and loving and kind and as always working hard to do the things that makes me happy.
Like making sure we spend time at the ocean.
Or giving me a cooking class for my birthday.
Or supporting me in all my athletic pursuits. Which is hard. Because it entails hours spectating at marathons, races, and triathlons, yes. But it also includes giving me hours to myself on weekends while I go play on bike rides or in lakes or slog through long runs.
(Which I have no pictures of, because I never take pictures while I’m exercising. Haha. But take my word for it. He’s awesome and supportive and amazing when it comes to giving me time to train.)
You can tell a lot about a man from how he treats his dog. Finley loves me, yes.
But he LOOOOOOOOOOVES my husband.
And I’m pretty sure the feeling is reciprocated.
Also, my husband is badass and still pretty hot, even after all these years.
I am SO grateful and thankful and happy he’s my husband. I wouldn’t want to walk this crazy path with anyone else.
Happy 11th anniversary to my best friend. I love you the MOST.
